Good Food

Why is it that whenever mom is cooking awesome smelling food, it is either vegetables, or something we aren't allowed to eat until the weekend? 

The other day, she was making apple strudel, pumpkin cookies with cinnamon cream cheese icing, chocolate cookies with chocolate icing, and blueberry buckle at the same time... 

... and we weren't allowed to eat it, touch it, or look at it... :( so I am now resorting to staring at the picture of the cookies below... I wish I had smellavision
